Construction in the real world:

Looking in to other buildings that are supported by podiums such as Stansted airport and the 02 arena I think the best way to construct the main poles would be the same as they are able to support a lot of weight.

Roof construction:

In-between the parasols that form the main covering for my building there is going to be slight gaps were they overlap. If the building was to be constructed in the real world these would have to be closed up. Looking in to existing buildings there are some examples of the ways I could close up the gaps.

The curved glass that forms the side wall of my building will be fairly complex to building and construct however looking at examples of this type of construction, the new aquatics centre that was build for the 2012 olympics shows a good example of how my building could be done.
